Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) maintenance

The Contractor must comply with all appropriate safety code requirements. If the Contractor
encounters equipment that is in a condition that may endanger life or properb/, the Contractor
must immediately notifi/ the Embassy FM of the condition requiring immediate action.
Within 24 hours the Contractor must provide to the Embassy FM a written report of the
hazardous condition and recommended corrective action.
All fire alarm testing, with the exception of interconnected building functions, must be
performed after normal working hours. Testing of the interconnected building functions,
including, but not limited to, air handler shutdown, damper control, elevator recall, egress
door unlocking, etc., must be performed during hours the interconnected equipment is
active. The testing of the fire alarm system shall not be considered complete without the
testing of interconnected equipment.
PM of the FDAS consists of validating that all equipment is present
and functional on a monthly basis.
Check the control panel to ascertain that it shows normal operation
RectiFy and record any fault found
