A Main Earth Bar (MEB), also called a Main Earthing Busbar, is a central copper bar used to connect protective earth conductors and bonding conductors to the building's main earthing system.
The Main Earth Bar provides a common earthing connection point for electrical distribution boards, equipment cabinets, server racks, CCTV systems, surge protection devices and other metallic installations. It helps maintain electrical continuity and provides a low-impedance path for fault and surge currents to the earthing system when correctly designed and installed.
