The AXIS T8061 Ethernet Surge Protector protects outdoor network cameras and other compatible PoE devices against transient voltage surges entering through Ethernet cables. Its weatherproof IP66-rated enclosure supports outdoor wall or pole mounting.
The AXIS T8061 is designed for outdoor IP surveillance installations where Ethernet cables are exposed to lightning-induced surges and electrical transients. It protects all eight Ethernet conductors, including PoE lines, while supporting network data transmission up to 1 Gbps.
It can be installed near an outdoor network camera or where an Ethernet cable enters a building. Proper grounding and shielded network cabling are important for effective protection.
