How the Product Works
Crimping tools use mechanical pressure to permanently join a connector to a cable by "crimping" internal metal contacts onto the individual wires.
- Preparation (Cut & Strip): The built-in blades allow you to cut the cable to length and strip back the outer jacket to reveal the internal twisted pairs without damaging the core wires.
- Termination (Crimp): Once the wires are aligned in the connector, it is inserted into the matching "die" (port) of the tool. Squeezing the handles forces the tool's teeth to press the connector's metal pins through the wire insulation, creating a secure electrical bond.
- Advanced Technology (Pass-Thru): Professional models often feature Pass-Thru™ technology, where wires are fed completely through the connector and trimmed flush by the tool during the crimping cycle, virtually eliminating wiring errors
